Who is Jay?

Jay is a 40 year old loving husband and father of two growing children.

What happened to Jay?

Jay and his family enjoyed the Australian outdoor lifestyle, living on the coast and spending evenings and weekends at the beach. One particular summer spent in the sun, Jay began to notice a dark spot forming on his shoulder. After consulting a doctor, he was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma. Jay’s insurance policy at the time did not cover the full financial costs of his illness, making what was an already difficult time, even harder.

Where is Jay now?

Jay now works in the melanoma field, raising awareness and supporting patients through their journeys. Jay has since worked with an adviser, ensuring his family will be protected for life.

“When I was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma, I was petrified. The financial fallout was pretty big, and the insurance I had didn’t come close to cover my family’s needs. I’m clear of the cancer and life is now all about positivity and health. I’ve gone to a  financial adviser who has made sure my family is financially protected going forward. It’s not just about survival, it’s about protecting the life you’ve got.”
